Chris and Sheila were wed in a perfect ceremony on Sunday, August 28th, 2016 at the gorgeous Paletta Mansion in Burlington.

It was very touching to see how much support from friends and family this couple had and how they incorporated family members into the ceremony through music.  They did not hire a wedding planner for their big day and did all the work themselves! Sheila advises others to have someone close to you throughout the wedding day to assist and help, or to hire a wedding planner for the actual day of the wedding so that everything will run smoothly and turn out just how you want your special day to be.

The couple used D.J. Emporium for the music for the ceremony and reception and also for violinist during the reception.

Sheila had her daughter Amelia play the alto saxophone alongside saxophonist Carson Freeman.  They chose Edge Hospitality, a catering company for Paletta Mansion,  for the food at their reception.  The couple selected Monarch Florist for their flowers.  Sheila picked her stunning gown from Avenue 22 Bridal in Toronto.  She knew it was the one after trying on many dresses at different stores.  Her advice for other brides is, “try on as many dresses as possible in different styles at different locations”.

Their ceremony was a memorable one!  A few of their favourite memories from their special day were her Sheila’s daughter playing the saxophone to her entrance, Chris’s daughter singing during the ceremony and seeing their family and friends witness their vows.

These two lived together for five years prior to getting married, but Sheila still experienced some nervousness when the ceremony was about to begin.  Despite those nerves, her wedding day was exactly how she imagined it would be.  She expressed that it was a “perfect sunny day for our wedding ceremony to be held out on the beautiful patio of Paletta Mansion.”  She recommends writing out a plan or listing the guests that the couple specifically wants to be photographed with prior to the wedding.  This is a great tip to be sure you don’t miss a specific shot with that special friend or family member!
