I was beyond thrilled to be Victory and Calypso’s Hamilton Wedding Photographer!  This beautiful intimate wedding was done through FunWeddings! They offer not only cool photographers like myself (and my girl Sandy!), but also wedding officiants (like Dave who did this ceremony) and DJ’s!  Seriously – check them out!

The day started out at Calypso’s fathers house in Hamilton were the she was getting ready with her best ladies.  One of my favourite moments was when her father came upstairs and saw her for the first time!

The backyard was all setup for a gorgeous backyard wedding, however Mother Nature had other plans.  With some thinking and acting, the wedding was moved inside to her father’s dining room and it was a perfect fit!

The sun came out right after the ceremony and allowed us to head to the backyard to take photos in her father’s gorgeous back garden while their guests enjoyed some finger foods and champagne inside.  Fun fact, the area they had decorated to be the front of the ceremony site in the backyard was originally their play house / swing set from when they were kids!  The birdhouse?  Yep, it’s sitting on the swing!  How cool and nostalgic is that?

The reception followed at the Fairweather Brewing Company.  This venue was absolutely PERFECT in so many ways!  The space was enormous, the lights gave the most perfect glow, the parking was more than ample, and it was pretty cool to have the beer taps right on the walls!  The staff at Fairweather Brewery is super top notch and was awesome to work with.  I can’t wait to photograph another Fairweather Brewing Company Wedding!

The Dirty South of Kreative Katering catered the reception and I can’t even begin to describe not only how beautiful the food presentation and how professional their staff was!  Their food was also incredible!  It was the perfect blend of backyard bbq meets comfort food.

After dinner, the incredible band The Barrel Boys played up a bluegrass storm.  Everyone had a great time out on the dance floor!

Congratulations again Victor and Calypso!  Thank you for having Dave and myself (from FunWeddings) be a part of your special day!

Also, huge shout out to Victor!  3 months after his own wedding, he rocked his upright bass at my own wedding as part of an amazing jazz trio! Thank you again!
